|Biography & Genealogy:||Thomas Lewis M., Class of 1864-MS: Born- ? Matriculated from Garrettsburg, Kentucky. At VMI 5 weeks. Military Record: At Camp Cheatham, Tennessee as Drill Master and instructor of light infantry tactics for 42nd Tennessee October 8, 1861-February 8, 1862 (and possibly earlier). Post Adjutant, Clarksville, Tennessee at unknown dates. Unofficial source says also served on staff of Brig Gen B.H. Helm as Assistant Adjutant General. Same source says died in camp at Corinth, Mississippi of typhoid fever. Died- May 19, 1862.|
