Biography & Genealogy:	Thomas Garth Michie, Class of 1864-MS: Born- October 30, 1831. Matriculated from Charlottesville, Va. At VMI 4 weeks. Military Record: Entered service at White Hall July 15, 1861 with Company H, 56th Va. Appointed 1st Lt July 29, 1861. Resigned for reasons health (chronic diarrhea) April 19, 1862. Seems to have seen no further service. Post War Career: Farmer. Died- October 7, 1916 in Ivy Depot, Va of Pneumonia.
