Military Record: Enlisted April 29, 1862 for 2 years as Private, Capt B.Z. Price's Company Va Light Artillery (Capt G. W. Wooding's Company Va Light Artillery; Danville Artillery). Absent sick during spring 1862. Transferred August 4, 1862 to Capt A. Graham's Company Va Light Artillery (1st Rockbridge Artillery). In winter 1863-64 made and then withdrew application for transfer to engineers. On detached duty July 1864. In hospital (Charlottsville) September 1864. Paroled at Appomattox. Post War Career: At UVA 1866-67. To Waco, Tx 1875. Lawyer. Died- c1897 in Waco, Tx.|
