Wooding's Company; Capt L.M. Shumaker's Company). Transferred August 19, 1862 to Company A, 13th Battalion Va Light Artillery (Capt G.G. Otey's '55 Company; Capt D.N. Walker's Co.) On October 1, 1862 re-enlisted for war. Paroled at Lynchburg April 13, 1865. Brother of Gay, CW,Class of 1864-MS. Post War Career: Farmer. Died- February 26, 1920 at Staunton, Va.
