VMI Record: Entered VMI- July 5, 1873; Had to repeat 4th Class (Freshman) year; Dismissed Feb. 23, 1875 for being in Lexington at night; breach of confinement; Reinstated Feb. 25, 1875; Dropped from rolls May 11, 1875 after failing to return from furlough. Died- Oct. 16, 1878 in Memphis, Tenn. during an epidemic of yellow fever.
