Biography & Genealogy:Thomas Povall Turner, Class of 1864: Born- October 17, 1840. Matriculated from Richmond, Va. At VMI 11 months over 2 years (repeated 4th). Military Record: Unofficial source says Drill Master for Brig Gen M.W. Gary. At unknown date appointed Lt and Aide-de-camp on staff of Maj Gen J.E.B. Stuart. Signed parole near Sharpsburg, Md 1862 which means he was captured in Antietam Campaign. Possibly the Lt, Aide-de-camp to Maj Gen W.H.F. Lee who was captured near Salem February 1865. Reported to have been Wounded in action (hand; lost two fingers). Post War Career: Proprietor of horse bazarr. Died- February 21, 1901.
