Military Record: Enlisted April 18, 1861 at Norfolk for 1 year as Private, Company C, 6th Virginia. To Corporal October 4, 1861. Extended enlistment for the war April 30, 1862 (bounty). Private on Octobebr 1862 rolls. To Corporal July 1, 1863. To Sergeant May 6, 1864. Paroled at Appomattox. Post War Career: dentist; manufacturer and miller's agent. Married Ida W. Mallinkodt 1873, Hettie Austin Owens 1882. Lived in Maryland Soldiers' Home, Pikesville, Maryland. Died- July 2, 1903, buried Greenmount Cemetery, Baltimore, Mayland.
