Biography & Genealogy:	Edmund Pendleton, Class of 1864; 1864-MS: Born- October 4, 1843. Matriculated from Berryville, Va. At VMI 1 year and 2 months. Military Record: Drill Master, Winchester spring 1861. Unofficial source says served 3 weeks with Capt A. Graham's Company Light Artillery (1st Rockbridge Artillery). Returned to VMI January 1862. Dropped from rolls July 8, 1862 (Absent without Leave). Enlisted September 20, 1862 in Clarke County for war in Company C, 11th Virginia Cavalry. On November-December 1862 roll as 1st Sergeant. To Lt March 26, 1863. Mortally Wounded in Action May 5, 1864 at the Wilderness. Died- May 6, 1864.
