Biography & Genealogy:	James Foley Kemper, Class of 1864: Born- May 20, 1846. Matriculated from Culpeper, Va. At VMI 1 year (entered as a sophomore). Military Record: Ran away from home in 1861 to join the army. Too young to enlist, he was returned to parents who sent him to VMI. Left VMI summer of 1863. Joined Company B, Col J.S. Mosby's Regiment Va Cavalry (43rd Battalion Va Cavalry) October 1, 1863. Unofficial source says Wounded in Action at Perkin's Mill. Post War Career: Lawyer, Baptist clergyman. To Missouri in 1882. Died- April 5, 1913.
