|Biography & Genealogy:||Randolph Bradley, Class of 1864. Born- 22 August 1844 in Page County. Matriculated from Belle Air, MO. At VMI 1 year. Military Record: Drillmaster in Richmond, Spring 1861. Resigned from VMI 14 June 1861 and started for Missouri to join Confederate States forces there. Returned to Virginia. Wrote Secretary of War 7 September 1861 applying for lieutenancy and asking for assignment to Missouri. Enlisted at Marion 24 September 1861 for one year as Pvt, Company D, 4th Virginia. Elected 2nd Lt, Company B, 14th Louisiana and on 24 December 1861 discharged from 4th Virginia. Acting adjutant for Brig Gen R.A. Pryor. Greatly distinguished at Williamsburg 5 May 1862 where he was slightly wounded in action. Made Capt, Company D, on 1 June. Mortally wounded in action on 27 June 1862 at Gaines's Mill. Died- 28 June 1862. (Some sources say killed in action on 27 June 1862). Buried in Hollywood Cemetery, Richmond, VA.|
