Biography & Genealogy:	Andrew Jackson Montague, Class of 1864: Born- July 4, 1842 in Middlesex Co. Va. Younger brother of Edgar B. Montague, see family history above. Never married, no children. VMI Record: Entered VMI- July 30, 1860; Served as Drill Master for the Corps of Cadets in Spring of 1861; Left soon after to enlist for the War. Civil War Record: Enlisted March 2, 1861 at Danville, Va. as Private in Co. C. 55th Va. Infantry; Wounded in Action at the Battle of Gaines Mill June 27, 1862 (mini-ball through the arm); Developed "Bil. Fever" as a result of wound. Died- July 12, 1862 in private quarters in Richmond, Va.
