VMI Record: Entered VMI- Sept. 1, 1859; left after two years; made Honorary Graduate of the Class of 1863 on July 2, 1869. Civil War Record: Drill Master for VMI Corps of Cadets stationed in Richmond in the spring of 1861; no official record of post-VMI War service; unofficial source says he served in Co. A of the 3rd Va. Infantry and was wounded in action at Chancellorsville. Careers: Teacher; farmer; merchant; public official; Mayor of Chase City, Va. in 1905. Died- Aug. 26, 1906 in Chase City, Va.
