Osburn, daughter of Logan Osburn; 2nd- Mary Lyne Wilson, daughter of Hon. William L. Wilson. Children- George William Rouss (from first marriage). VMI Record: Entered VMI- Sept. 5, 1859; Left after two years to join Confederate Army; Made Honorary Graduate of the Class of 1863 on July 2, 1869. Civil War Record: Drill Master for VMI Corps of Cadets in early spring of 1861; Temporarily assigned to 7th Va. Cavalry as Acting Lieut. in Capt. R.W. Baylor's Co. June- Aug. 1861; Acting 2nd Lieut. in Capt. W.W. Hardwicke's Co. of the Va. Light Artillery July- Sept. 1861; In fall 1861 helped raise and served as Lieut. with Capt. J.W. Carter's Co. of the Va.
