Biography & Genealogy:	Edmund Pendleton Nalle, Class of 1863: Born- December 28, 1840. Matriculated from Washington DC. At VMI 2 years (repeated freshmen year). Military Record: Wrote in 1904 that he had served in 49th Virginia, then in Quartermaster Department, then rejoined regiment. No official record of such service found. Eventually detailed to railroad service. On August 1864 list of exempts as railroad employee. Baggagemaster, Lynchburg. Captured April 29, 1865 at Fairfax Court House. Held Old Capitol Prison, Washington DC. Released on oath May 6, 1865. Post War Career: Merchant; farmer; employee DC engineer department. Died- Washington DC October 4, 1911.
