Appoinetd Adjutant, 59th Tennessee November 11, 1862 (1st [W.L. Eakin's] Tennessee Battalion; Col J.B. Cooke's Tennessee Regiment). Captured at Vicksburg, Ms July 4, 1863. Paroled July 10. To Maj February 5, 1864 (date of rank January 7). Wounded in Action (ankle) June 5, 1864. In hospital (Charlottesville; Bristol, Tn) until at least October 1864. On furlough October 22, 1864 (last record on file). Post War Career: Merchant. Died- March 5, 1902 in Washington D.C.
