Biography & Genealogy:	Eugene Granville Curry, Class of 1863. Born- Nov. 4, 1839. Matriculated from Mount Sidney, VA. At VMI 1 year. VMI Record: Athlete, strongest cadet at VMI 1859-1860; Deficient in math. Military Record: Enlisted July 16, 1861 at Staunton as Sergeant, Company C, 52d VA for 1 year; Made company Drillmaster because he was "the only one who knew anything about military tactics." Died- 5 Nov. 1861 of pneumonia at Camp Allegheny. Buried at Augusta Stone Church Cemetery.
