Grandfather- Joseph Craigmiles; Pat. Grandmother- Lucinda Henderson. No information about Mat. Grandparents. Married- Annie Sandrush (or Sandash) of Shelbyville, Tenn. in Oct. 1881. Children- Pleasant M. Craigmiles VMI Record: Entered VMI- Aug. 27, 1870 at age 15; Dropped from rolls Oct. 13, 1871 after failing to return from furlough. After VMI- Attended Washington College (now Washington & Lee University) as a student under Gen. Robert E. Lee; Officially represented the student body as a pallbearer at the funeral of Gen. Lee. Careers- Capitalist; Erected the Craigmiles Opera House; his family was among the wealthiest in Tenn. Died- Oct. 2, 1928 in Chattanooga, Tenn. Buried in Fort Hill Cemetery, Cleveland, Tenn.|
