Biography & Genealogy:	Hardy Julian Breedlove, Class of 1862: Born- March 18, 1842. Matriculated from New Orleans, La. At VMI 1 year, 8 months. Left VMI because of ill health. Military Record: Almost certainly the man who in late 1861 or early 1862 enlisted for 90 days as Private, Company B, Crescent (La) Regiment. Joined Company G, 20th La. Appointed 2nd Lt April 25, 1862 (unofficial source says for bravery at Shiloh). Mortally wounded in action January 2, 1863 at Stones River. Captured and died in US hospital. (Some records show killed in action).
