Entered service February 15, 1862 and elected 2nd Lt, Company B, 13th Battalion Virginia Light Artillery (Ringold Battery; Capt T.H. Stamps's Company). To 1st Lt October 16, 1862. Won praise for conduct at Cloyd's Farm May 9, 1864. In hospital (Richmond) July 22-28, 1864 (dysentery). Post War Career: Married Blanche R. Snydor 1871. Magistrate and city councilman, Danville. Methodist. Died- November 14, 1924. |
