Biography & Genealogy:	William Pleas Robinson, Class of 1862 (graduated 22 out of 35): Born- June 5, 1842. Matriculated from Danville, Va. At VMI 3 years. At Emory and Henry 1855-59. Military Record: Drill Master (infantry and artillery), Richmond spring 1861. Entered service February 15, 1862 and elected 2nd Lt, Company B, 13th Battalion Virginia Light Artillery (Ringold Battery; Capt T.H. Stamps's Company). To 1st Lt October 16, 1862. Won praise for conduct at Cloyd's Farm May 9, 1864. In hospital (Richmond) July 22-28, 1864 (dysentery). Post War Career: Married Blanche R. Snydor 1871. Magistrate and city councilman, Danville. Methodist. Died- November 14, 1924.
