Military Record: Entered service July 3, 1861, at Greenwood, Fl. Joined Co. I, 4th Fl. Appointed Captain September 25, 1861. Defeated as candidate for Major and dropped May 12, 1862. Enlisted for war at Marinna, Fl., on Aug. 16, 1862, as a Private in Co G, 2nd Fl. Cavalry. Appointed 1st Sergeant on November 1, 1862. On recruiting duty in Feb, 1863. Elected 2nd Lt., Co. A, 5th Fl. Cavalry Battalion on Sep. 21, 1863. July 20, 1864, he became a 1st Lt. Signed parole on May 16, 1865, in Tallahassee, Fl. Post War Record: Railroader, Accountant. Died: Dec. 14, 1920, in Jacksonville, Fl. Buried in Greenwood, Fl.
