Biography & Genealogy:	Frank Dale Hume, Class of 1861: Born- December 23, 1840. Matriculated from Orange County Court House, Va. At VMI 1 year. Military Record: Enlisted April 17, 1861 at Orange County Court House for 1 year as Private, Company A, 13th Va. Absent sick early 1862 (chronic diarrhea). Wounded in action at Gaine's Mill. Absent sick November 1862-April 1863. Records for summer 1864 read: "Absent. Sick in camp. Present on pay day." At unknown date transferred to Lt Col C.M. Braxton's Artillery Battalion as Sergeant Major. Surrendered at Appomattox. Post War Career: Clerk; miner. Died- July 26, 1895 in Phoenix, Az.
