Nelson, born in Clarke County Mother: Mildred Walker Nelson, born at Belvoir, Albemarle County, Virginia Paternal grandparents: Philip Nelson (son of Governor Thomas Nelson) and Sarah Burwell Nelson (daughter of Nathaniel Burwell of Isle of Wight County, Virginia). Maternal grandparents: Hugh Nelson ( son of Governor Thomas Nelson) and Eliza Kinloch of Charleston, South Carolina; they lived at Belvoir in Albemarle County Marriage (circa 1848-1850): Sarah W. Semmes, the youngest daughter of Dr. Thomas W. Semmes of Alexandria, Virginia Children: Anna S.
