Mother: Ellen (maiden name unknown). Siblings (from 1880 census): Maud, Minor, Maury; all younger. VMI Record: Entered August 18, 1885; repeated fourth class year; resigned 1888. Military Career: Enlisted in the U. S. Marine Corps; was awarded the Medal of Honor for his service in China during the Boxer Rebellion in 1900; served in the Philippines during Spanish-American War. Became ill around 1909 and resigned from Army.Death: October 9, 1916, place unknown. Burial: Arlington National Cemetery, Section 17, Site 18847.
