Biography & Genealogy:Tucker John Randolph Jr., Class of 1868: Born- September 7, 1848. Matriculated from Richmond, Va. At VMI 6 months. Military Record: May have been the "John R. Tucker" who served at unknown dates in the Richmond Ambulance Corps. With Corps in Richmond trenches possible until it disbanded April 2, 1865. (May have gone on sick leave late December 1864 and not returned by April 1865). Post War Career: At St Catherine's College (Canada) and Richmond College (now University of Richmond) 1866-67. At Washington and Lee 1870-71. Married Fannie Crump 1873. Clerk to Speaker, US House of Representatives. Died- July 5, 1880 in Richmond; Buried Shockoe Hill Cemetery there.
